Who is Drew Stremick?

Born in northern Saskatchewan, raised on Vancouver Island, and for the last twelve years I called Calgary home. I've always had a passion for learning and telling stories. Growing up, and as an adult I was always told I have an amazing voice, and after almost a decade working as an electrician in Calgary I decided to go back to school and pursue a career in Broadcasting. As I made my way through the RTBN program at SAIT, I really felt as if I found my passion.

 

Since beginning my adventure as a journalist I have worked across the prairies, starting in Lethbridge Alberta, moving quickly to Winnipeg Manitoba to work as a TV reporter and Weather Anchor with Global News Winnipeg. As of August 2024, I've returned to Calgary to work with Global News Calgary where I am currently a Digital Broadcast Journalist and Weather Specialist.

Between news gathering and weather anchoring I have found a balance between discovering new and interesting stories and being able to connect with audiences across Alberta. I look forward to eventually gaining enough experience to be a trusted source of all kinds of news here in Calgary and across Alberta.
